10, PLIGHT OF THE HOMELESS
Homeless people everywhere, sleeping in doorways and on stairs. Sadly, for them few politicians care. This is the lucky country I hear some politicians swear.
It may be the case, only for a certain few, but for the rest what do they do? No priviledged special lunch to rub shoulders with the high-end bunch. With no hot bed to sleep in at night. They can't rug up tightly to wake up bright.
Cold and shivering out on the street, without shoes or socks on their feet, nor a hot breakfast to eat, this is what happens when you live on the street.
So, politicians please give a thought about all the expensive food and wine that you bought. Think about the people out on the street. They are the real people, the one's you don't want to meet.
The moral of the story is life can be tough, especially when you have to sleep in the rough. Many homeless people have fought in a war only to ask, what was this all for?
Returning from battles with scars in their heads, all that they ask for is warm beds. So think of them the next time you sit down to your bacon and eggs. Drop them a coin the next time you see them. I am sure you would not want to be them.
