11, CITY BY THE SEA
The city by the sea is where I long to be. Fremantle is the city for me. Walking down High street or under an old Norfolk Pine, sipping a coffee, or a glass of wine, this is what I call divine.
There is a lot to see, the heritage buildings are a spectacular sight especially when they light up at night. The 1890's was the start when gold miners did their part. Fremantle has been built on the port. Along with this we have an abundance of sport. Beaches, we have many, South beach,Bathers beach, Leighton Beach, Port beach and more, are great for bathing or fishing from the shore.
The Cappuccino strip to drink or dine is where one can spend a lot of time. Meeting friends, having a chat, talking about football, cricket or the cat
The fishing boat harbour is a beautiful sight when, out for lunch, dinner or a coffee at night. Watch the fishing boats come and go catching tomorrows dinner this I know.
The J-Sheds are an institution worth a visit where Greg, Peter and Jenny welcome inclusion. Artists all display their talents in our city by the sea. This is where I long to be.
With art centres, museums, markets and more the prison is another must visit I'm sure. Churches are many magnificent sights, stained glass windows glowing bright at night.
The football oval is alive on the day with the fans waiting for their favourite players to come out to play, you then hear the fans roar" heave ho Freo, heave ho Freo, heave ho Freo" Fremantle city by the sea, this is where I long to be.
